Our 
Story

Shawn is originally from North Carolina, where he grew up and found his love for the outdoors. He moved to Montana in 2013, hoping to bring his hospitality career and love for the outdoors together. 

Mary is originally from Pennsylvania, where she grew up with similar interests for the outdoors and nature. She moved to Montana in 2018, when she met Shawn and they started their journey together! 

After a few years and many diapers later, Shawn was managing a fly fishing lodge when the opportunity of managing the Hickory House arose. They couldn't pass up the opportunity to combine their love for the outdoors, hospitality and family time. 

With both having over 10 years experience in hospitality, your stay at the Hickory House is certain to be a memorable one!
